Home sweet home Contest

A contest designed to make us feel closer. We will make an e-book together and raise funds to fight the Coronavirus. “Home sweet Home” will be a book full of memories and emotions.
I’d like to ask all the children who wish to be involved, to draw the house of their dreams and to write a short paragraph or a thought or poem on the moment we’re all living.
The profits of the e-book will be donated to the National Institute for Infectious Diseases Lazzaro Spallanzani.

Contest Rules

What should the children do:

  • Draw their dream home in their dream location on white letter paper (the drawing should be done vertically). To do this you’ll need lots of colors and lots of imagination!
  • Write or tell your parent or guardian a thought on the coronavirus emergency (3-4 sentences): “you’re at home. School is closed. What will you remember of these days? What will be the first thing you’ll do when you can get out?”.

What the parents need to do:

  • Scan or take a photo of the drawing
  • Write an email with:
    • The child’s thought/words
    • The child’s name
    • Your city/town
    • The date
  • Email it to: paola.merolliautrice@gmail.com

The Team of the Home Sweet Home Contest

The e-book will be produced with Rapsodia Edizioni  and will be available for purchase on all online stores.
Throughout this adventure I have collaborated with some really special people that have made all of this possible.
Alessandra Turchi and Stefania Fiarè, two good friends that have been in the online book promotion and distribution world for over 10 years with their company Creative Books.
Federica Savi and Filomena Rizzuti, enthusiastic and tireless book promoters.
Eleonora Lo Nigro, whom with her willfulness runs a small and fabulous publishing company.
Last but not least my small friend Aurora, who is a kid like you. She gifted me the drawing that you see at the top of the page; my first dream house!
They are my travel companions, and like me they too believe in the importance of books and beauty.
At this point all that’s left is to wish you good luck!

Everything will be alright!
Together we can do the impossible!
A hug,
